The challenge is to make a daily list of seven specific things that we are praising the Lord for throughout the whole month of November. More details on the challenge can be found over here.
I thought it would be neat if we shared our lists on here, as we want to challenge and encourage one another to look for God's blessings and offer specific thanksgiving for what he has done. I can think of no better way to prepare for Thanksgiving Day than by recognizing all that we have to be thankful for.
And with that in mind here's our lists for November 1...
Megan:
~the opportunity to learn
~a warm fall day
~"adopted siblings"/friends coming over to play
~encouraging chats with friends
~a beautiful home
~family time
~Dad returning home from a trip safely
Molly:
~Jesus Christ (Savior, Redeemer, Friend, Teacher, Leader, King,)
~Creativity
~Love
~Forgiveness
~Patience (Patient Love)
~Thorns (There is an old prayer that goes, "Lord, I thank thee a thousand times for the roses. Help me to thank thee for the thorns as well.")
~(Right along with #6) 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
